Hello visitors!

As I want this page to be interesting for all my visitors, including non-Dutchies, I will write my short stories in English mostly.

Last sunday was my birthday. I did not celebrate elaborately, but my kids came and my granddaughter. One of the presents I got, was a book I really really wanted: The boy, the mole, the fox and the horse, from Charlie Mackesy. I just LOVE that book! The drawings that look much more simple than they are to make. The life-lessons Charlie gives us through his adorable characters. And the humor he uses… mole, for instance, always craves cake.. Well, I can relate to that 😉

Paging through the book made me think… would it be possible to draw my Bear directly in ink? I have made sooo many pencil drawings, my hand knows the way… and I tried. To my joy it worked. I love how the sketchy lines stay visible this way. So. I am determined to try some more of that.
